The Chief Federal Energy Regulator Touts the Benefits of VERGE

As you probably know, GreenBiz Group has been focusing pretty intently on this concept we call VERGE -- the convergence of buildings, IT, vehicles and the grid that promises massive improvements in making the world run more efficiently.

Since we introduced VERGE to the world back in June, we've seen a lot of uptake on the concept, and even more movement from companies that are applying their efforts to very VERGE-like activities.

But we were especially pleased to see Jon Wellinghoff, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, talk about VERGE at length in this video from the Academy of Natural Sciences' Center for Environmental Policy speaker series.

Wellinghoff starts discussing VERGE at 9 minutes in, but the entire 90-minute discussion is well worth watching.
