Berlin, CT — Includes effective energy DER strategies involving super-insulation on the exterior of buildings. Strategies are assessed on a cost-benefit basis. Possibly as many as 75% of the homes now standing will still be standing in 2050, by when the US has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 80%. If we're serious about meeting that reduction goal, major retrofits to existing homes will clearly have to play a key role. In this workshop, you'll learn what a deep energy retrofit looks like, how to market, plan, budget, and sell these projects; how to identify and manage the risks; and how to turn the growing awareness of the environmental challenges we face into an opportunity to be a better businessperson, a better builder or architect, and a better citizen.
