Job Description

Cascadia Consulting Group has an outstanding opportunity for a Resource Conservation Engineering Consultant. Primary job responsibilities for this position include:

•Conducting resource conservation audits for commercial and industrial customers, identifying energy and water conservation opportunities and calculating financial returns (including utility rebates) and paybacks associated with those opportunities

•Initiating business development opportunities with local utilities and business clients.

•Participating in climate change related work such as: conducting carbon footprint. assessments, developing additional quantitative tools to measure emissions and model the costs and benefits of specific mitigation strategies.

•Developing and providing expertise to clients related to purchasing more efficient energy consuming products, improving operation and maintenance practices, and various carbon registries/offsets.

•Developing new quantitative tools to assist clients in assessing their sustainability impacts, setting goals and targets and measuring their progress with indicators and metrics.

•Assisting with providing strategic and management consulting services to clients that links environmental performance, including climate change, to achieving corporate outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications include:

•Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of related work experience.

•Knowledge of energy and water conservation opportunities and technologies appropriate for commercial and institutional applications.

•Ability to articulate cost savings resulting from energy/water conservation initiatives/technologies in terms of payback periods, ROI, and other metrics commonly used to justify capital expenditures by business professionals.

•Proven success securing new business and interest in fostering partnerships with other firms and agencies.

•Ability to translate technical information into written reports, presentations and proposals that appeal to customers.

•Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

•Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Certified Building Operator (CBO) designation desired.

•LEED certification preferred.
