Julia Beier

BSR
Julia works with companies in the consumer products, manufacturing, and transport and logistics industries on sustainability topics including CSR strategy and reporting, supply chain, human rights, stakeholder engagement, and conflict minerals. She manages BSR’s Maritime Anti-Corruption Network and Sustainable Luxury Working Group and supports the Clean Cargo Working Group. She has also contributed to projects on migrant worker rights in the Gulf region.
Prior to joining BSR, Julia held positions in the nonprofit and public sectors, including at Ashoka U.K. in London, the World Trade Center in Marseille, the International Labour Organization in Berlin, and an NGO in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. A German national, Julia speaks German, English, French, and Spanish and is learning Arabic.
Julia studied as a Fulbright Scholar and holds a M.A. in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School at Brandeis University. She holds a Franco-German B.A. in International Business from the Hochschule Bremen in Germany and Euromed Management in France and is currently pursuing a professional certificate in Sustainability Management from Harvard University.
