Stacy Glass
Stacy Glass has spent the past 20 years working with private industry, the nonprofit sector and government organizations to develop and execute startup strategies for businesses and social enterprises.
Ms. Glass is currently the Executive in Residence at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, a non-profit organization created to bring about a large scale transformation in the way we make things. In this role, she leads the Institute’s efforts to educate architects, designers and manufacturers on the value of using certified products and increase the number of certified products in the built environment.
Stacy’s most recent entrepreneurial endeavor was inspired by Bill McDonough and Michael Braungart’s book, “Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things”. With a team of investors, she launched CaraGreen, a distribution and marketing company that brings sustainable building materials to market. She served as President for four years, leading the company’s efforts to find new and innovative products, consult with manufacturers, and develop strategies for market entry.
She is the co-author of “Understanding Green Building Materials,” published by Norton in 2011. Stacy regularly presents to architects, designers and students on the topics of sustainability, healthy building materials, eco-labels and certifications, and life cycle assessment.
