Emily Landsburg on investing in infrastructure projects to help circular economy
August 4, 2019
Infrastructure projects enable many circular economy initiatives, usch as plastics recycling, chemical from biobased materials, waste water treatment and turning organic waste to fertilizers. Ultra Capital provides private equity to small infrastructure companies, ranging from $10 million to $150 million, whose technologies are commercially proven but still new. The equity invested at the project level will help companies grow and scale with lower barrier and less strings attached, said Director Emily Landsburg. "Our investments are the catalyst that allows the heavy infrastructure, the brick-and-mortar materials that enable the circular economy to happen, to be widely deployed at scale," she said.
