GreenBiz Executive Editor Joel Makower joined California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer to discuss the potential for a green boom in the Golden State.

This video offers highlights from a wide-ranging interview in which Lockyer details the policy tools he uses to foster a greener and more prosperous California economy. In this video segment, Lockyer discusses the financial tools he uses to spur green investment, including a new group called "P10," the 10 largest pension funds in the world working with the World Bank to drive environmentally-focused investments.

The event took place in September at Hanson Bridgett's Sustainable Business Leadership Forum in San Francisco. Hanson Bridgett, a law firm, hosts the monthly event to explore the opportunities and obstacles posed by a low-carbon economy.

Additional video segments of this discussion will appear in the coming days.
